A vigorous shrub rose with 3-4 inch dark, red, velvety blooms. They are not long-lived in the Portland heat, so may show signs of darkening and crisping within a day or two in warm weather. Striking, almost scarlet color makes for a dramatic accent. You’ll see these planted in center rows of some of the bigger beds at Peninsula Park Rose Garden. Another Ping Lim rose and an ARTS 2019 winner.
