Sweet Fragrance
Sweet Fragrance is one of the Easy Elegance® line of roses from Bailey Nurseries, and is a favorite in the Peninsula Park Rose Garden. It’s planted next to most of the boxwood hedges around the beds. The scented, hybrid tea style Sweet Fragrance buds open as a beautiful orange-tinted coral pink maturing to a softer salmon pink. A shrub-type rose, it grows upright between 2’-4’ high and 2’-3′ wide. Ping Lim, formerly the Bailey Nurseries Rose Research Director many years, developed the Easy Elegance line of roses. Easy Elegance roses are were bred to be easy care and disease resistant. There are several varieties of Easy Elegance roses throughout the garden.
